Hi. My name is Wayne Roland, which I guess you've figured out by now. The short story is that I have always been a bit of a philosopher, asking questions about the human experience from an early age. I attribute some of that drive to a certain amount of childhood trauma including the death of my brother and many friends, along with the absence of my father throughout my life. Over time I found myself on a journey toward what I identified as "inner peace" ... asking questions like what makes life meaningful ... important ... and what makes a "happy" life. It's this journey that spawned the principles in my life's work, Internal Wealth.

Spending summers at the beach growing up helped me realize I wanted the beach year round, so in my early twenties I took off for San Diego. No friends, no place to live, no job ... I just went. I worked in the health club industry for some time, as I truly care about physical well being. Still, I was seeking. I wanted to write a book. I wanted to do something with my life, and I wanted to care about what I did for a living, not just get a job. This criteria evolved into a search that landed me with a sales training company called "The Duncan Group".

I worked with Todd Duncan side by side for years, promoting events, building his career, and eventually starting my own company as a speaker's bureau / event promotion company. During that time I had the chance to work with some of the world’s foremost authorities in human development, including best-selling authors Brian Tracy, Zig Ziglar, Jim Cathcart, Les Brown, and many others. "RUDY" Ruettiger from the movie, became a friend. Peter Vidmar, Olympic Champion ... Mike Vance, former Dean of Disney .... it was an amazing time. I was a regular kid from New Jersey, sorrounded by stars, and I was learning quickly.

Over time, I've read around 300 books on human development, psychology, philosophy, sales, leadership and self help. I've devoted my mind to learning about the human experience, and have written several books. Today I travel the U.S. and abroad conducting workshops and seminars aimed at expanding human awareness in sales, business, and life. The principles I teach are practical and useful. They are also fresh in that they're not just duplicates of folks I've worked with.

I devote my time and life to helping people fulfill their potential, in every role they play. In my workshops I sort of "draw" internal roadmaps that in many cases take departures from conventional motivation ... and yet hold strong to accountability, responsibility, clarity, and competence. My aim is to raise the level of competence in people ... in what they do in every day life ... how they think, talk and behave in each aspect of their lives.
